The plane lands, the bags come off the belt, and the question arrives: how do we get into the city? The short answer is the one method where you know every step in advance: a private chauffeured transfer. The price is fixed before you land, the chauffeur knows your arrival time, your luggage is carried, and you step out at your hotel door. This guide explains, in six points, why a private transfer is the most predictable way from Istanbul's airports into the city.
1. The price is known before you leave
At Solevra Travel you see the total on the booking screen, VAT included and broken down line by line. Traffic, delays and time of day do not change it. There is no meter, no settling up at the door and no negotiating. After landing, all you do is get into the car. Every item in the price is explained in how transfer prices are set.
2. Your chauffeur knows your landing time
You enter your flight number when booking. The flight is tracked: if the plane lands early, the chauffeur comes early; if it is delayed, the chauffeur waits accordingly, with no charge within reasonable limits. While you are in the air, someone on the ground is already planning around you. For delays and cancellations, read our flight delay guide.
3. You are met in the arrivals hall
Istanbul Airport is one of the largest terminals in the world, and on a first visit the exits, levels and parking areas are confusing. With meet and greet your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name, takes your luggage and walks you to the vehicle. You never search for anyone or give directions over the phone. How it works is in our meet and greet guide.
4. Your luggage fits and the car is yours
When you enter passenger and luggage counts on the form, only the vehicle classes that suit you are listed. Two people with three suitcases get an Eco Sedan; a family of six gets an Eco Van or VIP Van. You know in advance that everything fits in the luggage compartment, so there is no sitting with a suitcase on your lap. The vehicle is reserved for you alone. No other passengers are picked up and nobody is waited for on the way.
5. A licensed agency and a known chauffeur
Solevra Travel is a travel agency licensed by TÜRSAB, the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies. Your booking is recorded, it has a number, and the receipt is in your inbox. Your chauffeur is a person the agency knows and has assigned to your booking; who is coming and in which vehicle is clear in advance. For night arrivals, solo travellers and families with children, this recorded structure is reassuring. Our standards are described in the safety and chauffeur standards article.
6. No language or direction problems
Your destination address is on the booking, and the chauffeur knows where to go. A traveller who speaks no Turkish never has to explain an address, and your guest never has to ask the way. You step out at the door of your hotel, home or office. In districts with narrow streets such as Beyoğlu or Sultanahmet, the chauffeur comes to the nearest suitable point and walks with you and your luggage.
Who is a private transfer for?
- First time visitors: For someone who does not know the terminal, the city or the language, a planned welcome is the biggest convenience there is.
- Families: A baby seat is fitted on request, and the walk through the terminal with children and luggage is kept short. See our family transfer guide.
- Business travellers: A fixed price and a receipt fit corporate expense rules, and a quiet cabin is good for working on the way.
- Groups: For more than seven people, the Minibus and Midibus classes keep everyone in one vehicle.
- Night and early morning: Transfers run at every hour, and the price on screen is already calculated for the time you choose.
How to book
On the booking form on the home page, enter the airport, your destination address, the date and the number of passengers. Suitable classes appear with their prices. Add your flight number, pay with 3D Secure, and your confirmation email and booking number arrive immediately. A step by step walkthrough is in our booking guide.
Does the price change on the road?
No. The VAT inclusive total on the booking screen is final. Traffic, delays and time of day add nothing.
Will the chauffeur leave if my flight lands late?
No. Your flight is tracked by its number, and the chauffeur is in the terminal for the new landing time. There is no waiting charge within reasonable limits.
Is the vehicle reserved for me only?
Yes. Every transfer is private. No other passengers are picked up and nobody is waited for along the way.
Does the chauffeur bring me to the hotel door?
Yes. The destination address is on the booking and the chauffeur drives to the door. Where narrow streets restrict vehicle access, the chauffeur comes to the nearest suitable point and walks with you and your luggage.
